Our client is seeking a highly skilled Jira and SharePoint Administrator to join their team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and administration of both the Jira and SharePoint platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and usability. What you'll do:


As a Jira & SharePoint Administrator in our team, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of our project management systems. Your expertise in configuring Jira projects will directly contribute to our organisational efficiency. You'll also manage our SharePoint environment, ensuring it meets our business needs. Collaborating closely with various teams across the organisation, you'll implement solutions that enhance productivity on both platforms. Your role will also involve monitoring system performance for both Jira & SharePoint while providing technical support when needed. With your help, we'll stay ahead of the curve by keeping up-to-date with the latest features & updates.


* Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and schemes to meet organisational needs.
* Manage and maintain the SharePoint environment, including site collections, libraries, lists, and user permissions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency on both platforms.
* Develop and maintain custom dashboards, reports, and filters in Jira, and configure SharePoint sites, workflows, forms, and web parts.
* Monitor system performance for both Jira and SharePoint, implementing optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
* Support SharePoint migration from legacy tenant to new tenant.
* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for issues related to Jira and SharePoint.
* Conduct training sessions and create documentation to educate users on Jira and SharePoint functionalities and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for data protection and access control on both platforms.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates for Jira and SharePoint, assessing their applicability to the organisation.


What you bring:


As the ideal candidate for the Jira & SharePoint Administrator role, you bring a wealth of experience in IT or a related field. Your proven track record as a Jira and/or SharePoint Administrator sets you apart. You have a deep understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, configurations and SharePoint architecture, administration, configuration. Your proficiency in scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, PowerShell is essential for automation and customization tasks. Your excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be key in this role. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with various teams across the organisation.


* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field or equivalent work experience.
* Proven experience as a Jira Administrator and/or SharePoint Administrator.
* Strong understanding of Jira workflows, schemes, configurations as well as SharePoint architecture, administration, configuration.
* Experience with Jira add-ons & integrations & SharePoint Online or SharePoint Server.
* Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python, PowerShell) for automation & customization.
* Excellent problem-solving skills & attention to detail.
* Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently & as part of a team.
