Our client, a leading real estate investment manager specialising in value-added investment strategies across all property types in the UK and Europe, is seeking a recently qualified accountant to join their Corporate Finance Team in London. The successful candidate will be highly numerate and driven with a strong desire to learn. There will be ample opportunity to learn and develop within the role. The ideal candidate must have a strong financial modelling skill set.

What you'll do:


As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company. Your responsibilities will include conducting variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, reviewing management accounts on a regular basis, managing monthly AUM reporting, preparing cash flow analyses, maintaining forecast models, preparing statutory financial statements, supervising service providers, managing payroll, and producing technical accounting memos. You will have the opportunity to liaise with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring attention to detail on all tasks.


* Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
* Monthly, quarterly and annual review of management accounts for corporate UK and European entities including P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Manage monthly AUM reporting and provide investor analysis.
* Prepare monthly cash flow analysis of management entities.
* Maintain and develop forecast models.
* Prepare and review annual statutory financial statements for UK and European entities.
* Supervise service providers such as external bookkeepers, accountants, tax advisers, and auditors.
* Prepare quarterly recharges.
* Manage and process monthly payroll.
* Produce technical accounting memos and provide analysis.


What you bring:


As a Corporate Finance Analyst, you bring your recently acquired qualification as an accountant along with at least 3 years of experience in an audit or financial reporting-focused role. Your strong analytical skills coupled with your proficiency in financial modelling make you an ideal candidate for this role. You possess excellent report writing skills which enable you to confidently liaise with various stakeholders. Your understanding of double entry accounting principles shows your keen interest in accountancy. You are diligent, efficient, and have a strong work ethic. Your ability to manage confidential information with discretion is commendable. Lastly, your strong communication and interpersonal skills make you a valuable team player.


* Recently qualified accountant with at least 3 years of working in an audit or financial reporting-focused role.
* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
* Relevant University degree.
* Excellent report writing skills with ability to confidently liaise with a range of stakeholders.
* Understanding of double entry and an interest in accountancy.
* Diligent and efficient with strong organisational skills.
* Desire to learn, enthusiastic and dependable with a strong work ethic.
* Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
