My client is seeking a Valuations Analyst to join their dynamic finance team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to assist in the performance of investment valuations and valuation control activity for the Investment segment. The successful candidate will have the chance to work closely with asset management teams, external valuation advisers, and auditors, providing a comprehensive understanding of the business's illiquid equity and credit investments.

What you'll do:
As a Valuations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting the performance of investment valuations primarily focusing on illiquid equity and credit interests. Your responsibilities will include performing quarterly valuations, drafting detailed reports, formulating robust opinions, reviewing business plans, developing models, and preparing committee submissions. You will also be involved in performing due diligence reviews. This role provides an excellent opportunity to interact with various stakeholders, enhancing your interpersonal skills while gaining a deep understanding of the company's assets.
* Perform quarterly valuations of illiquid credit and equity asset investments
* Draft valuation reports in line with regular valuation timetable
* Formulate robust and defensible valuation opinions
* Review and analyse business plans and cash flow models
* Develop and update valuation models
* Perform monthly valuation roll-forward process between quarters
* Prepare valuation reports and committee submissions
* Assist in the performance of valuation due diligence reviews
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Valuations Analyst position brings prior experience in performing business, equity, and/or credit investment valuations. You are professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or hold another relevant financial qualification with significant exposure to investment appraisal techniques. Your strong interpersonal skills enable you to build relationships effectively. You possess excellent Excel skills and have experience dealing with external clients or influencing at senior levels within an organisation. Previous experience within investment management, infrastructure or pensions industries in a finance or analyst role would be advantageous.
