We are looking for a Credit Trader with experience within a Financial Trading Desk for a European Bank.

This team manages credit trading activities across European IG, Covered Bonds, HY, and US IG. This team actively engages in euro credit market making, supporting primary bond activities. Core aspects of the business include flow trading, credit analysis, pricing, structuring, execution, hedging, electronic/voice trading, and distribution. Daily collaboration occurs with Sales, Research, and DCM/Syndicate teams.

This team aims to lead the ongoing financial market transformation using data analytics and systematic trading. Ideal candidates should be change leaders, driven to enhance performance through technology adoption.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working within the dynamic team environment, the candidate will join the Financial Credit Trading desk, collaborating closely with three other team members. Interaction with Sales, Syndicate, Research, and Risk Management is integral. The candidate, possessing a solid track record in trading Financial Institution risk, is expected to start trading immediately.

• Competitively and consistently make markets in Financial Senior, SNP, or T2 cash products to generate stable sustainable revenue across the credit cycle.
• Provide cover and trade in other desk-covered sectors such as AT1 and Covered Bonds.
• Maintain an active trading style, offering market insights to clients, sales, and DCM.
• Proactively use and promote technology.
• Identify opportunities to increase market share and product income, executing initiatives to achieve these objectives.
• Promote ING's Credit Trading franchise.
• Trade in various markets (bonds/CDS).

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications/Education:

• Essential: University degree (at least 2:1).
• Desirable: University degree from a top university, preferably in a maths/finance/economics/engineering subject. Advanced degree (post-graduate).

Experience/Knowledge:

• Essential: At least 3 years of Credit Trading experience on a Financials Desk (T2 Cash desirable), Excel, Word, and PowerPoint proficiency. Good understanding of fixed income products and bank fundamental analysis.
• Desirable: Coding Skills in Python, Java.
