MLRO - Part time

We are supporting a City-based payments firm seeking an experienced MLRO for a 3-month, part-time contract. This is a key appointment, providing immediate oversight of the firm’s AML and financial crime framework during a critical phase.

• Act as MLRO and primary point of contact for financial crime matters

• Oversee AML/CTF policies, controls and monitoring frameworks

• Review and submit SARs, manage suspicious activity investigations

• Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and reporting obligations are met

• Provide guidance and reporting to senior leadership and the Board

• Support any regulatory engagement or internal audit activity

Requirements

• Proven experience acting as MLRO within a payments, fintech or regulated financial services firm

• Strong knowledge of UK AML/CTF regulations and FCA expectations

• Experience working with EMIs, PSPs or similar regulated entities preferred

• Ability to operate independently in a hands-on, advisory capacity

Contract Details

• 3-month engagement (Could be extended)
