HEAD OF CONTROL ROOM Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: London Keywords: Compliance, Control Room, Regulatory Reporting Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Control Room to join their team in London. This role is integral to the protection of the company's EMEA entities and its employees from regulatory censure, ensuring positive outcomes for its customers and markets. The successful candidate will be a key liaison for other control rooms within major offices, as well as being responsible for all matters relating to Compliance Regulatory Reporting, Compliance Monitoring Programme and Anti Money Laundering processes. What you'll do:
As the Head of Control Room, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our client's operations. You will act as a trusted advisor for compliance matters across relevant product areas in EMEA, leveraging your specialised regulatory knowledge to interpret rules effectively. Your responsibilities will also include managing reporting processes to head offices and key communications with group companies based globally. You will contribute significantly to the design and implementation of an effective Compliance Risk Assessment program, while also designing training material for staff on required Compliance and Conduct materials. Your role will involve monitoring appropriate information barriers and insider trading prevention procedures, reviewing suspicious transactions reports, and keeping abreast of UK and global regulatory developments.

* Act as a trusted advisor for compliance matters across relevant product areas in EMEA through specialised regulatory knowledge and interpretation of the rules
* Manage reporting processes and manage key communications with group companies based globally
* Contribute in the design and implementation of an effective Compliance Risk Assessment program
* Design training material and train all staff on required Compliance and Conduct materials
* Interpret, develop or update relevant Compliance Policies, Departmental Procedures and internal Compliance Department processes
* Monitor appropriate information barriers and insider trading prevention procedures
* Review, investigate and assess/conclude on suspicious transactions reports
* Monitor UK and global regulatory developments, identifying new regulations that impact the business


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Head of Control Room position brings a wealth of experience from the financial services industry. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will be key in managing reporting processes and providing high-quality Compliance support. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with your capacity to multi-task and prioritise multiple projects, will ensure your success in this role. Familiarity with standard Microsoft Office and other email products is also required.
