This is a newly created Compliance Officer role that will become the SMF 16/17 and build out the compliance programme for a rapidly growing commodities investment firm. This will be four days a week in their London offices near Hyde Park.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compliance coverage for the firm's London and Luxembourg offices
- Work with investment and back office teams to ensure compliance requirements are understood and applied
- Help maintain the firm's risk and compliance framework including policies, procedures, and disclosure requirements
- Provide detailed compliance advice to support the firm's asset management, distribution, and marketing activities
- Review and maintain the firm's anti-money laundering systems and controls
- Prepare periodic MLRO Reports for publication to management, investors, and regulators
- Be the main point of contact for the FCA
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of the UK's FCA requirements applicable to investment managers and the ability to navigate the FCA Handbook
- Knowledge of the MiFID and AIFMD directives and related requirements applicable to investment managers
- Proficient in transaction reporting requirements
- Six or more year's experience in compliance or compliance related roles, ideally in investment management
- Experience with an RCA regulated hedge, private equity, or venture funds required
- Strong interpersonal skills, and comfortable reporting and presenting to senior stakeholders and business partners
