Our client, a tier one global investment bank are looking to recruit for a Compliance Monitoring Analyst position.
1. Undertaking specific Infrastructure Compliance monitoring: perform Infrastructure Compliance monitoring checks and desk reviews to monitor compliance with relevant Regulations and internal policy.
2. Coordinate the Infrastructure Compliance monitoring programme: help ensure the programme is kept up to date, liaising closely with the EMEA Risk Assessment, Testing and Strategic Initiatives Compliance team and relevant global teams. Ensure themes and lessons learnt arising are considered more broadly.
3. Quality Assurance: ensuring monitoring is undertaken and documented in line with applicable standards.
Skills Required (essential)
-Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in person and in writing.
-Good analytical and numerical skills, for example reviewing trading data, looking for trends and exceptions in data.
-Detail oriented and good memory skills; able to learn new concepts.
-Broad understanding of the FCA Handbooks and Regulatory approach.
-Prior experience of Compliance testing or monitoring would be useful but not essential.
-Knowledge of some of the businesses covered by the Infrastructure team and the relationship and regulatory risks associated with interaction between public and private side teams.
-Ability to build relationships of trust with members of the Compliance department and employees in the business unit and support & control functions.
-Ability to remain focused under pressure.
-Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Confidence to use own initiative and apply judgment in an in-house context.
-Enthusiasm and aspiration to learn and develop.
