An excellent opportunity is available with a most respected Financial Services business based in Birmingham City Centre for an Anti-Money Laundering Team Manager to lead and join a team responsible for the effective and timely execution of the respective Global Assurance Programme control requirements, as set out in the AFC Assurance Manual.
- Lead team members to meet the organisations expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment
Reviewing of clients to assess financial crime risks, applying a risk-based approach
Completing and reviewing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Name List Screening escalations in relation to High Risk customers
Reviewing High Risk customers with special risk factors in accordance with local regulations
Providing AML Investigation and Case Resolution support to the wider Financial Crime Investigations (FCI) Unit, preparing and submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) reports to the relevant authorities
Utilising open source intelligence, Financial Intelligence and external database searches to identify and escalate any identified sanctions, adverse media and corruption concerns
- Providing AML guidance to the First Line Operations and other infrastructure functions on financial crime through the course of day to day business
The Anti-Financial Crime Advisor will possess excellent experience in managing, leading or coaching teams on a daily basis. You will have in-depth general AML knowledge with substantial experience working in the financial services industry with knowledge of AML/Counter Terrorism Finance (CTF) typologies and trends. You will have an understanding of the UK regulatory environment/policies/legal framework as they relate to AML, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery & Corruption. You will have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with an understanding of legal entity structures and organisations.
