An excellent opportunity is available for a Financial Crime Monitoring Specialist to join a global financial services business based in The Midlands for 3 months initially, to support the fulfilment of the compliance monitoring plan in relation to requirements of the anti-money laundering (AML) regime.
About the Financial Crime Monitoring Specialist:
You will be part of the Financial Crime Compliance team based in Birmingham which will involve monitoring to obtain reasonable assurance that the business is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, codes and the organisation’s group standards. The team are responsible for quality assuring evidence and issue closure forms that can come to them from any line of business and can cover all elements of financial crime compliance when another team deems a risk has been mitigated. Once this team have checked that evidence they will decide whether appropriate action has been taken and this can be closed down or will push back to the relevant team where needs be.
- Tracking and following-up on finding and actions identified as a result of monitoring and review work
- Accurately report and review findings and produce management information to a diverse audience to enable the business to identify and manager risks
- Identify process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency's within Compliance and the business
The Financial Crime Monitoring Specialist will have an excellent financial crime background and understanding and experience of Money Laundering Regulations and Joint Money Laundering Steering Group Guidance or equivalent, and experience in risk based regulatory monitoring and assurance within a financial services business.
This is an excellent opportunity in The Midlands region.
