Tax Investigations Manager

Our client is seeking a Tax Investigations Manager to join their team in Milton Keynes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide a responsive, professional interface with members and the public, ensuring that investigations are conducted to a consistently high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own investigation caseload and maintaining high standards of reporting.

What you'll do:

As a Tax Investigations Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing a professional interface with members and the public.

  • Investigate potential disciplinary complaints to conclusion including obtaining information from relevant parties and drafting a written report on your findings if necessary.
  • Manage your own investigation caseload and take personal responsibility at various stages for the progress through to conclusion of cases.
  • Answer correspondence and telephone enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective systems and procedures to support casework.
  • Prepare work for consideration by Committees and assist the Committee and Tribunals team.
  • Provide assistance and advice in area of specialist knowledge to colleagues across the organisation as required.

What you bring:

  • A good grasp of all relevant legislation in area of expertise.
  • Sound knowledge of the organisation's Bye-Laws, regulations and ethical guidance.
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Professional qualification relevant to the role specification.
  • Experience of work conducted by Institute members/firms.
