Robert Walters are currently recruiting for a Systems Implementation Accountant for a highly profitable business based in Manchester City Centre. This business has a unique operating model and will provide the successful candidate with unparalleled levels of exposure within a dynamic, fast paced organisation. Due to the implementation of a group case management system the organisation are seeking a skilled systems accountant who’s able to implement finance modules into the over-arching ERP SYSTEM. Reporting directly into the FD and with a dotted line into the owners of the business the candidate will need to be adaptable and be able to work across a group enterprise with a range of interests.
With an established and growing systems team already in place the business that we're representing are in need of a Systems Implementation Accountant to implement finance modules into a wider case management system. Once in role the candidate will be working with the existing team to Project Manage the implementation process, extract information from the existing systems and ensure that finance data is fit for purpose going forward.
Specific aspects of the role included:
•Project manage the implementation of finance modules into a wider ERP system
•Deliver the build, testing and migration of data from the old to the new system
•Analyse extensive volumes of data, examine the integrity of this and take responsibility for the transfer process
•Deliver a performance plan and timetable around the implementation process
•Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly updates to the executive team relating to the progress of the implementation
•Implement a tracking tool to ensure the project is on time and on budget
•Conduct analysis of existing processes and deliver a SWOT analysis relating to the systems implementation
•Business partner with a range of departments to successfully deliver the implementation
•Deliver the testing process around the data transfer and end system
•Deliver a hands on approach to ensure that all transactional finance processes work and are fit for purpose
•Deliver the training on the new system to the existing finance team
•Make improvements to the existing Access and Excel models that exist
•Make recommendations and advise the SMT re the functions that are needed within the system
•Lead on the post implementation process to ensure the business is getting maximum gains from the new system
Candidates wishing to apply for this role will be a proven Systems Implementation accountant and will have project managed at least 2 system implementations. The successful interim will have proven project management skills and will ideally have knowledge of Sage. The candidate will have advanced Excel skills, be highly analytical and will have exposure of working in a SME environment. The ability to 'roll your sleeves up' and lead on all aspects of the implementation including the cleansing of data / modelling in advance of the system 'go live' date is critical as the existing information is not robust enough in its current form.
The candidate must have advanced communication skills as they will be working with the executive team and will give frequent updates on the progress of the implementation. The individual will commit for the longevity of the project and will have proven project management skills within a high paced, pressured environment.
