Reporting into the payroll manager, you will work within a team 3 payrollers in a shared service centre to process around 35 payrolls across 22 companies. This consists of Weekly, Bi-weekly, Four-Weekly and Monthly, on Sage 50 payroll, end to end. Producing around 3300 payslips per month as a team.
You will be joining a high volume fast-paced payroll team and you will be responsible for providing a payroll service across the business, made up of a diverse range of companies. The office is a very sociable, friendly, busy place to work. This role would suit a payroll supervisor looking for a new challenge, or an experienced payroll officer/administrator looking to take the next step in their career.
Duties Include:
• Collating, checking, and manipulating payroll data from each business.
• Act as the first point of call for more in-depth PAYE payroll queries.
• Assist with processing hires, terminations, status changes, pay rate changes and other employee data updates.
• Yearend reporting, RTI Submissions, dealing with HMRC.
• Ensuring payroll hits day-to-day deadlines.
• Assisting with the process of company pensions & managing auto-enrolment.
• Assisting with the production of in-depth payroll reports for the wider Group.
• Training junior team members.
• Any other ad-hoc duties.
Person Specification
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in processing payroll from start to finish, covering all aspects of payroll.
• Sociable, pro-active & capable of working with minimum supervision.
• Completed/started CIPP Desirable but not essential.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Maths and English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent
• Ability to work in a changing and flexible organisation
• High attention to detail
• Organised and efficient
• UK Driving Licence
