Part time Payroll Officer, £20,000 per annum, initially a fixed term contract until at least April 2019
A leading hire business operating in the construction industry are looking to recruit a Payroll Officer initially on a fixed term contract basis to strengthen their finance team. Based in their head office in Wakefield, the successful candidate would be working as part of a growing and ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities include:
• End to end Group payroll (covering approximately 500 employees across 3 businesses).
• All HMRC reporting including RTI and year end.
• Administering the company pension scheme.
• Act as the point of contact for all payroll queries across the Group.
• Payroll reporting and analysis.
• Report to the UK Financial Controller who is also based in Wakefield.
To be successful, you will ideally have previous experience of both running payroll independently and using Sage 50 Payroll software. Naturally, you will need to be able to illustrate an eagerness to learn and take on new responsibilities, as well as the ability to work closely with non-financial colleagues, members of Senior Management and Directors.
A candidate with excellent communication skills, a team mentality and the ability to demonstrate a helpful attitude is required, and a good working knowledge of statutory requirements would be extremely beneficial.
The Payroll Officer role benefits from a negotiable salary, 23 days holiday per year (rising to 25) plus statutory holidays, inclusion into a monthly profit share scheme, a Healthcare Cash Plan and an auto-enrolment pension scheme with employer contributions.
