Management Accountant
Salary: £35000 (initially hourly rate)
Location: West Bromwich
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a leading Manufacturing in Europe. This role is based in West Bromwich, forming part of within core finance. The successful candidate will be part of an experienced team with a long track record in the industry and will play a key role in the preparation of financial results. As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining an efficient and effective control environment. You will be involved in various aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Your ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively while maintaining strong problem-solving capabilities will be crucial for success in this role.
- Participate in the monthly accounting cycle, producing month end journals and assisting in the coordination of the month end process
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and supported by third party information or calculations
- Carry out a range of accounting activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues
- Collate and analyse data using standard accounting methodologies
- Assist in the delivery of year end audit cycles, building supporting packs and information throughout the year ready for review
- Support finance management on ad hoc tasks and projects
- Identify and implement process improvements

You should have strong problem-solving capabilities with a solution-focused mindset. Your advanced Excel skills will be put to good use as you navigate through various accounting systems/software. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to build relationships across teams and manage internal stakeholders effectively.
- Ideally part qualified with experience working in an accounting environment
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines effectively
- Strong problem-solving capability & solution focused mindset
- Proficiency with array of accounting systems/software
- Advanced Excel Skills (e.g., Excel Pivots, VLOOKUP’s)
- Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, collaboration and relationship building
- Comfortable managing internal stakeholders to meet deadlines
