A well-established SME Financial Services business based in Manchester City Centre are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their vibrant finance department on a permanent basis. The role has become available due to growth of the organisation and has a lot of hybrid flexibility
As the Finance Assistant, you will sit beneath the Finance Director and will be responsible for a multitude of transactional Finance tasks as well as some month-end responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Management of the Purchase & Sales Ledger
- Allocating payments and ensure invoices are coded
- Query resolution and escalations
- Prepare and post month-end journals
- Bank and statement reconciliations
- Month end accounts
- Reviewing and updating cash flow
- Assist with management reporting where required
- Processing debits and credits received
- VAT
- Ad hoc finance projects
Key Skills Required:
- 2 + years experience working within a varied finance role is essential
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work using own initiative
- Ability to work within a team or autonomously
