Assistant Accountant

Assistant Finance Analyst £25k + study support Birchwood, Warrington

Robert Walters are delighted to be partnering with a successful business in Warrington recruiting for an Assistant Finance Analyst / Assistant Accountant.
The ideal candidate will be an active studier with some transactional Finance experience that they can train and develop in the role.

Main duties
• Processing majority of transactions for the regional ledger/Joint Ventures/Collaborations which includes preparing management accounts with variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations and closing the ledgers
• Preparation and submission of monthly VAT and CIS returns
• Assist in the preparation of the weekly cashflow forecast for Joint Ventures/ Collaborations.
• Prepare and submit the Group deliverables/ schedules
• Own the division’s banking and raising of sales invoices, including credit control duties.
• Support senior members of the finance team with the Division’s month end
• Assist the Senior Finance Analyst and Head of Finance with the preparation of the monthly management packs/ Board Pack
• Assist in the Half-Year and Full-Year audit taking ownership of queries where necessary
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Ad-hoc project work to improve the Division’s current systems and processes
• Other ad hoc duties as required

Key Requirements
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to ensure flexibility when required
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues at all levels
• Ideally AAT qualified/studying
