Our client, a Cambridge based subsidiary of a FTSE100 company that are recognised for their innovation and consistent growth are looking to bring in a part time Accountant.

As the Company Accountant, you will report into the Financial Controller and cover a broad sphere of finance, including working with the overseas group in consolidating the accounts. The hours in this opportunity are flexible and will vary from 20-30 hours p/week.

Responsibilities include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations and managing all journal entries.

• Investigating and reporting on variances from the budget and monthly forecasts.

• Compiling and submitting monthly VAT records.

• Processing of monthly payroll for UK subsidiary.

• Work with overseas finance teams to resolve AR & AP discrepancies.

The successful candidate will be a competent accountant with a breadth of experience working autonomously in a broad finance role. You will be able to interact in a professional manner with both finance and non-finance staff whilst having the focus to complete duties independently. To be considered for this opportunity you must be a capable excel user with a minimum of an AAT qualification (or equivalent).
