My client is a leading international supplier of a broad range of specialist outsourcing services to assist owners and operators in the shipping, offshore, leisure and defence sectors. Their services include Technical Management, where the Group is the world’s largest independent cargo ship manager and Crew Management, which recruits, trains and places seafarers for Group-managed vessels and third party fleets. In addition, the Group offers a wide and growing range of technical, consulting and other services to maximise the operational capability of a diverse range of marine assets, including travel, catering, on board training, new build and conversion services and inspection and surveying services.
The role will report to the Group Management Accountant, with regular exposure to other members of the Finance Team. The role will be based in the Head Office in Central London, some travel may be required.
This is an exciting opportunity to join to a dynamic Group finance team that have recently successfully completed the sale of the business to a new PE shareholder and are now planning the next phase of the Group’s development which is likely to include an IPO. The individual will play a key role in the finance team during this exciting time.
The role will involve managing and performing the Treasury back office functions for the Group, whilst also looking after all of the Corporate purchase invoicing, sales invoicing, bank journals and bank reconciliations. This is a high volume role requiring someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced environment, who is accurate and who understands their debits and credits. In return the role will give a rarely available opportunity to get involved in treasury FX deals, with scope to expand the role to include areas of interest to the individual candidate. This role can be offered with a training contract.
Attributes sought from the candidate:
- Either AAT qualified or CIMA / ACCA / ACA part qualified
- Excellent attention to detail
- Previous experience in a high volume, fast paced role
