Financial Reporting Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join a highly respected Global Technology business in London, who are growing! This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering accurate and timely financial information. You will play a pivotal part in ensuring statutory and group compliance, supporting core accounting processes, and working closely with both internal teams and external partners.

• Support month-end close, VAT returns, and management reporting to ensure accurate, timely financial results.
• Prepare and post journals, maintain full ledger accuracy, and complete regular balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Assist with VAT compliance and group reporting packs, meeting all deadlines with reliable, consistent data.
• Manage banking transactions, reconciliations, and payments, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
• Support purchase-to-pay processes, working closely with Accounts Payable to ensure smooth invoice management.
• Collaborate with Group Finance, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to align financial data with business goals and provide insights.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules, liaising with auditors, and delivering required analysis on time.

• ACA/CA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification with strong technical accounting expertise.
• Minimum two years’ audit or commercial experience ideally in tech/infrastructure or related industries.
• Hands-on experience in month-end close, VAT, ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
• Practical exposure to group reporting and intercompany processes across multiple entities.
• Proficiency in accounting systems (Workday experience a plus) and adaptability to new tools.
• Excellent communication skills and able to explain financial information clearly to varied audiences.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail for identifying and resolving discrepancies early.
• Experience in fixed assets and cost accounting supporting accurate project costing.
• Solid understanding of IFRS and core financial principles.
• Dependable, proactive team player who can also work independently when required.
