Lease Accountant

6 month Fixed Term Contract working for this prestigious International business as Lease Accountant working in the Group Reporting Team based in London.

As lease Accountant you will report into the Senior Group Technical Analyst and enjoy and varied and challenging role on an initial 6 month fixed term contract based in their prestigious Corporate Head Office.

The role sits within the Group Reporting team and supports the wider team with the lease requirements of the Group.

This role will be responsible for:-

• Implementing established lease processes, controls and reconciliations for lease reporting and transaction flows
• Supporting the on boarding of lease data for all new acquisitions and updates/ changes to existing leases
• Providing technical support to regional teams on lease accounting (IFRS16)
• Problem solving/undertaking additional project work
• Validating inputs into lease software
• Preparing monthly data for company journals
• Reconciling financial data at Group level
• Assisting in preparation of lease disclosure notes for year-end audit responses
• Assisting with quarter-end reporting requirements
• Ad hoc project work e.g. cleansing leasing data, rolling-out process improvements

In addition he Lease Accountant will work closely with Global Estate Manager to update and maintain the leased property portfolio in LS which requires handling and processing large volumes of information within tight deadlines.

Key criteria for the role:

▪ ACA/ACCA qualified – newly qualified/1 yr PQE

▪ Working knowledge of IFRS16

▪ Ability to manage and analyse data

▪ Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot tables

▪ Experience of preparing reconciliations

▪ Practical approach to problem solving
