Group Financial Accountant Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Location: Manchester An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Accountant to join a leading global entertainment company. This role offers the chance to work with an exceptional team of over 6,000 members across six continents, delivering unforgettable experiences to customers worldwide.

What you'll do:

As a Group Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial success by taking full ownership of legal entity reporting for jurisdictions around the world. You will be responsible for identifying key project issues early on and taking pre-emptive action to address them. Your role will also involve being the main driver for improvement projects across the Group. You will develop strong relationships with auditors, managing audit projects from start to finish. Additionally, you will produce technical accounting papers and quality audit schedules for both internal use and auditor review.

  • Full ownership and timely delivery of the Group’s statutory accounts and audit projects globally.
  • Identify key project issues early and take pre-emptive action to address them.
  • Be the main driver for improvement projects across the Group.
  • Technical review of individual legal entity management accounts throughout the year to drive timely corrective action ahead of year end.
  • Develop a strong and collaborative relationship with the auditor, managing audit projects from start to finish.
  • Production of technical accounting papers and quality audit schedules for both the auditor and internal use.
  • Engage and influence supporting internal corporate functions for audit project support and respond to their technical accounting requirements.
  • Monitor legal entity compliance in support of the Group’s CoSec function.
  • Plan and lead key project meetings to use time efficiently.
  • Deliver improvement projects within the service centre.

What you bring:

As a Group Financial Accountant, you bring your expertise as a qualified finance professional with excellent technical accounting knowledge in a common GAAP (IFRS, UK GAAP etc.). You are an initiative-taker who thrives on solving problems and driving resolution to challenges. Your precise communication skills enable you to discuss technical topics with non-technical audiences effectively. You have excellent organisational and time-management skills, coupled with a strong attention to detail. Experience in a large complex organisation and dealing with large accounting packages is desirable, as is an audit background.

  • Qualified finance professional (ACA)
  • Excellent technical accounting knowledge in a common GAAP (IFRS, UK GAAP etc.).
  • Initiative-taker and problem solver.

  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
