Management Accountant

Management Accountant South Warrington-based (some hybrid available following initial training) Up to £55,000 DOE I am delighted to be working alongside a charitable organisation who put community at the forefront of their values. They are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their well-established finance team.

This newly created management accountant role will play a key role in supporting the Group FC and team with the continued development and evolution of the finance team. You will work with the team to systemise as many tasks as possible.

With a keen focus on supporting profitable business growth and associated cost control, the role holder will work with the team to enhance performance reporting to the business, building a business partnering and analytical mindset within the team.

Key Duties:

• Month end cycle: work towards owning and running the month end cycle supported by the wider finance team.

• Balance sheet control.

• Tax compliance: Supported by the Group FC as needed, work towards owning the preparation of various tax compliance submissions, e.g. VAT returns, tax comps etc.

• Ongoing management of existing systems: Ensure that the capability of the existing systems including Sage Intacct, Soldo, etc. are maximised to maintain suitable controls whilst supporting the planned business growth.

• Policy Management: Along with the Group FC, review and update existing finance and financial accounting policies.

• Business Partnering

About You:

• Suitable accounting qualification, (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Proficient in excel to deal with large volumes of data.
• Confident in using and learning about new accounting and MIS systems.
