Management Accountant

Management Accountant Warrington (On-Site) Paying up to £55,000 DOE Robert Walters are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a retail organisation who have a large office presence in Warrington. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join their award-winning finance team.

This role will involve supporting the Head of Finance and Head of FP&A with the delivery of growth enablers including margin improvement, operational excellence and international growth.

Key Duties:

• Manage freight and duty reporting, ensuring budget compliance and clearly communicating margin impacts across the business.
• Oversee monthly and annual stock valuation, ensuring accurate landed cost data is provided to the Data & Insights Team.
• Monitor quarantine stock levels and movements, preventing buildup and mitigating margin impact
• Oversee weekly fulfilment and distribution reporting, providing Warehouse Operations with timely, accurate cost insights.
• Analyse variances against budget and forecast.
• Lead month-end close for sales, margin, fulfilment, distribution and transaction fees.
• Produce balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare board pack slides, P&L and balance-sheet analysis, and commentary.
• Support the year-end audit.

About You:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with working experience in a Commercial Finance role / First-Time Mover from Practice with a commercial flair.
• Retail/Stock experience would be a huge benefit.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to challenge.
