Accounting Client Manager
We’re looking for an Accounting Client Manager to take ownership of a varied client portfolio and help deliver clear, reliable advice. The role suits someone who enjoys working closely with business owners, spotting opportunities in the numbers, and supporting a team to produce high-quality work.
This role focuses on managing a portfolio of clients, overseeing the delivery of high-quality accounting and advisory work, and helping clients make informed decisions. You’ll review financial information, guide tax planning, develop strong client relationships, and support both offshore and onshore team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow. It's a hands-on position with a mix of technical review, client interaction, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management

Act as the main point of contact for a dedicated portfolio of clients.

Build strong relationships and stay proactive in understanding their commercial needs.

Identify opportunities for clients to improve profitability, cash flow, and overall business performance.
Accounts and Tax Review

Review year-end accounts, management accounts, and financial statements before client presentation.

Spot trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data and discuss these clearly with clients.

Develop tax plans that support clients’ goals while ensuring compliance with current legislation.

Review corporate and personal tax positions, making sure all filings are accurate and timely.
Team Leadership

Oversee offshore team members and allocate work to ensure deadlines are met.

Support and coach junior onshore staff, helping them develop their technical skills and confidence.

Monitor workflow, quality and consistency across the team.
Process & Quality Management

Maintain high standards across client files, including documentation and workpapers.

Help improve internal processes and suggest ways to streamline how the team works.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal quality controls.
Essential Skills

Strong experience reviewing accounts and management information.

Ability to interpret financial data and identify growth opportunities for clients.

Confident reviewing and planning tax matters, with good working knowledge of compliance requirements.

Proactive approach to client communication and relationship management.

Experience managing both offshore and onshore teams.
- Understanding of UK and UAE tax frameworks
- Awareness of property-related tax rules, such as rental income, capital allowances, and disposals.

Qualifications

Part qualified or finalist (ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
