  • Benefit from flexible working arrangements and generous pension contributions designed to help you balance work and life while planning for your future.
  • Gain valuable experience by partnering with senior management, auditors, and key stakeholders across the business, allowing you to develop strong interpersonal skills and expand your professional network.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant based in Milton Keynes, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial health of Head Office by preparing critical sections of monthly management accounts. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include owning parts of both the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, presenting results to senior leaders with comprehensive variance analysis, and collaborating closely with various departments. • Present monthly results to senior management with detailed variance commentary that highlights risks and opportunities within the business.
  • Complete monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations within required deadlines, proactively identifying any discrepancies or issues that need attention.
  • Work closely with senior management to highlight all risks and opportunities affecting the business, facilitating informed decision-making through effective communication.

  • Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting activities and control processes by documenting procedures where necessary and meeting relevant timeframes.

What you bring:

Your proven expertise as a Management Accountant will be evident through your hands-on experience preparing management accounts for large organisations. You will bring an analytical mindset capable of interpreting complex financial data while communicating findings clearly to senior leaders. Your background includes managing segments of financial statements independently, building trusted relationships across departments, and supporting audit processes efficiently. A deep understanding of accounting standards ensures compliance at every stage while your commitment to continuous improvement drives positive change throughout finance operations. Professional qualifications further enhance your suitability for this role; however, your ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment is equally valued.

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing management accounts within a large or complex organisation, showing an ability to deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of owning segments of financial statements such as Balance Sheets or Income Statements, including presenting findings clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills that enable you to communicate effectively with auditors, internal teams, and key stakeholders across different departments.
  • Ability to prepare detailed monthly reconciliations while proactively identifying risks or discrepancies that could impact financial integrity.
  • Experience assisting with budget preparation and forecasting processes within a head office or similar environment.
