Save job

We’re working with a forward-thinking organisation in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter that’s looking for a Management Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who’s qualified or finalist level, with at least two years of management accounting experience and a genuine passion for using financial insight to drive performance.

You’ll be joining a team that truly values collaboration, professional growth, and open communication — where your ideas are heard, your contribution is recognised, and your development is supported.

You’ll work closely with key stakeholders across the business, helping to shape budgets, forecasts, and monthly reporting, while being part of a supportive culture that encourages continuous learning and celebrates shared success.

What You’ll Love About the Role

  • Join a welcoming and experienced finance team where your voice matters and your work makes a real difference.
  • Enjoy flexible working options and dedicated training support
  • Work in an environment builton trust, respect, and collaboration, where people genuinely support each other’s growth and wellbeing.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with clear, insightful commentary.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing meaningful analysis and practical input.
  • Carry out balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of all financial information.
  • Partner with teams across the business to improve cost control and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Provide financial reports and analysis that empower colleagues to make confident, informed decisions.
  • Assist with external audits, ensuring accuracy and responsiveness throughout.
  • Contribute to improving financial processes and systems, suggesting ways to streamline and strengthen controls.
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects, bringing a proactive and positive approach to new challenges.

What You’ll Bring

  • At least two years’ experience in management accounting or a similar finance role.
  • CIMA qualification (or working towards it) with a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly and empathetically to non-finance colleagues.
  • A naturally collaborative working style — someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit, supportive team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidence using Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience in retail, ecommerce or fast-paced environments would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar tools would be beneficial.

Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here

This is a business that genuinely invests in its people. You’ll find approachable leaders, mentoring opportunities, and a positive culture where everyone’s contribution is valued.

Located in Manchester’s lively Northern Quarter, the company offers flexible working, ongoing training, and a healthy work–life balance. The finance team is collaborative, down-to-earth, and committed to helping one another succeed.
