Finance Analyst

The Organisation Robert Walters are currently seeking a permanent Finance Analyst to join a highly profitable PE backed businesses based on the outskirts Manchester city centre. The organisation that we're representing is require a technically strong accountant (ideally practice trained) to bolster its already well established finance team. The business is in an incredibly strong financial position due to its growing sector and its well run finance division. Sitting within the group head office the business requires an individual that is immediately available, has a medium / big business background and can hit the ground running.

The Role

Once in role the successful candidate will take ownership for all elements of reporting, the development of budgeting and forecasting process. Specific responsibilities include:

• Lead on the delivery of the group monthly, quarterly, half & year end management accounts

• Take full ownership of forecasting & budgeting processes across the group

• Deliver and interpret variance analysis for the group and present findings to executive team

• Deliver and improve working processes and controls across the finance division

• Take ownership of all aspects of working capital, capital expenditure, KPIs and cash flow across the finance division

• Manage, analyse and manipulate large volumes financial data in excel and deliver commercial MI to the executive team

• Deliver and improve existing financial models within excel

• Business partner with key budget holders to understand their requirements and present financial recommendations to the senior management team

• Take ownership for presenting weekly / monthly flash reports to the executive team

• Take a lead on various financial improvement projects

The Person

The successful applicant will be CCAB qualified accountant and have extensive experience of working in / alongside a larger organisations finance function. The candidate will have good working knowledge of financial reporting standards and will be able to demonstrate high level commercial skills. The candidate will have strong excel skills and will be comfortable with large volumes of data to provide commercial recommendation. Previous experience of implementing improved processes would be ideal. Good communication skills are essential as the candidate will be liaising with multiple stakeholders across the group.
