Management Accountant

My client, a leading employment service, are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their ever-growing finance team in Chester.

Reporting into the Group Finance Director, this newly created Management Accountant role is perfect for anyone looking to develop they're project skills, learn from excellent senior leaders and help with the company’s ongoing growth plan bringing different entities together.

The role is extremely varied and incorporates all aspects of Management Accounting with added exposure to develop your Project Accounting skills. You will be joining a supportive and sociable team and play a key part in the company’s finance function working through various projects. The preferred candidate will ideally have experience working in various finance projects, implementing improvement and producing of management accounts in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

•Working with other finance colleagues, plan and execute the integration of finance systems and processes
•Plan and execute the hive-up of the acquired entities into the business
•Create a methodology based on learning's for the integration of future acquired businesses into the Group finance function
•Work closely with new acquisitions to ensure consistent controls and reporting aligned to the Group requirements post acquisition.
•Ensuring that the balance sheet of all acquired entities are appropriately monitored & controlled and all risks are fully visible
•Budgeting and forecasting of acquired businesses
•Ad-hoc projects

The ideal candidate will be:

•CIMA, ACCA or ACA Qualified accountant
•Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
•Ability to think strategically
•Strong delegation skills
•Ability to work autonomously
•Great teamwork
•Conflict management skills
•An understanding of how a medium-sized business works
•Ability to liaise with people at all levels of seniority
