Management Accountant | Altrincham | Salary up to £38, 000 per annum
Robert Walters are partnering a flourishing Manufacturing business based in Altrincham in their search for a Management Accountant. Our client operates globally having a strong presence with blue chip clients in the UK as well as Europe and the far east. This well-established, long-standing business is being taken to their next phase with a strong senior management team in place bringing fantastic career opportunities for their employees.
This newly created role of Management Accountant will work closely with the Financial Controller. The main purpose of the role is to be the financial link between operations/manufacturing and finance and to provide a support role to assist with sales related financial information and processes.
The Management Accountant will be involved in day to day contact with the operations team, including manufacturing, warehousing and sales. You will be expected to have full understanding of the manufacturing process and how changes can impact the financial performance of the business and suggest/advise on how to manage it from a financial perspective.
Month end accounting across different areas of the business, being able to explain variations to plan, management reporting on a monthly and weekly basis. Continuous development of new reporting to provide additional information to management as the needs of the business change and evolve. They will be responsible for ensuring all processes are followed and be able to implement improvements where necessary.
In addition, the role will have full responsibility for a European entity and the financial reporting of this company, this will include profit and loss, balance sheet, and management reports as required.
The business is currently in the process of implementing a new ERP system; this role will have involvement and assist with the implementation and ultimately become one of the super users within the business.
This role really is a fantastic opportunity for an individual that’s recently ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified and that wants to step up and make a real difference in a growing business. To be considered you will have experience as follows:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified
- Graduate Calibre
- Demonstrate relevant accounting experience
- Be highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
- Be able to business partner with other areas of the business, good communication skills
- Excellent IT literacy, including strong Excel skills, system integration
- Manufacturing experience highly desirable but this isn’t essential.
