Group Accountant

We’re partnering with a fast-growing, internationally recognised consumer brand to appoint a Senior Accountant into their London-based finance team. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Finance Manager, with broad responsibility across financial reporting, compliance, and month-end activities for global entities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal deadlines.

• Manage day-to-day accounting processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger oversight.

• Monitor AR and AP aging reports, ensuring timely collections and payments, and escalating issues as needed.

• Support statutory compliance for overseas subsidiaries (e.g., US and Singapore), including tax filings, audit preparation, and financial reporting.

• Maintain and enhance internal controls, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions and alignment with group policies.

• Assist with the development and documentation of accounting policies and procedures.

• Remain up to date with relevant accounting standards and regulatory changes.

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced, international environment.

• Solid understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, and financial controls.

• Proficient in accounting systems; experience with NetSuite is advantageous.

• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and collaborative approach.

• Interest in consumer goods or lifestyle industries would be a plus.
