Group FA - 15m

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join a highly regarded finance team on a 15-month Fixed Term Contract. As a Group Financial Reporting Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Group Finance team's ability to produce robust, timely, and commercially focused internal and external financial reporting. You will also deliver corporate projects aligned with strategic objectives.

Your proactive attitude, strong planning and organisational skills will be key in helping deliver year-end statutory reporting for a large group and its subsidiaries/joint ventures. You will also support the work of the Group Management Accounts Team in the preparation of monthly management accounts.

• Support the planning, coordination and project management of half-year and year-end close processes
• Assist with the preparation of annual Group and subsidiary statutory accounts (FRS 102)
• Support joint venture companies’ year-end audit process
• Assist with day-to-day requirements of external auditors
• Provide ad hoc support as required to the Group Management Accounts Team
• Work alongside the Deputy Group Financial Controller to ensure the delivery of important projects
• Proactively identify opportunities to develop and improve internal and external reporting and supporting systems

What you bring:

• Qualified Accountant (ideally ACA/ACCA), with experience working in audit or with auditors
• Good knowledge of UK GAAP
• Experience with year end audit reporting processes and preparation/review of statutory financial statements
• Relevant management accounting experience
• Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
