Our client a high-growth FinTech business is looking for a forward-looking, analytical and operational Accountant to take ownership of the COGS reporting for a federated network of European entities. COGS Accountant

Our client is seeking a forward-looking, analytical and operational Accountant to take ownership of the COGS reporting for a federated network of European entities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be an important contributor on both administrative and operational matters related to group COGS in a mid-sized FinTech firm. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting for COGS, offering a unique chance to shape and influence key business decisions.
What you'll do:

Manage the costing process for both new and existing products

Develop and maintain robust costing models

Provide detailed information on product costs

Offer recommendations for the best course of action to optimize business outcomes

Collaborate with New Product Development to assess cost implications for products and product changes

Undertake scenario analysis for key stakeholders on an ad-hoc basis

Participate in monthly Profit & Loss calls, review variance analyses prepared by other members of the team or other teams, and manage the end-to-end COGS Control process, including reviewing Transfer Pricing models and accounting treatment

Perform monthly/quarterly close processes and reconciliations

Analyse COGS trends and provide insights to management
What you bring:

Qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA)

Proficient in NetSuite

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

IFRS reporting required

Local European GAAP reporting experience beneficial

European languages would be beneficial
