Summary of role
As a Financial Reporting Accountant, your role will be pivotal in providing insightful analysis of month end performance. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised in day-to-day interactions with subsidiaries. Additionally, you will support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives. Your commitment to continuous improvement will drive enhancements in financial reporting processes.
The responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Accountant are, but are not limited to;
- Ownership of Management Accounts.
- Provide insightful analysis of month end performance.
- Identify risk and opportunities to key stakeholders.
- Prepare and post journals.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Advise on strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting.
- Communicate and collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders.
The skills and education required for the role are the following;
- Studying a professional qualification at finalist level (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Self motivated
- Strong focus on controls, processes, and continuous improvement
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Ability to challenge stakeholders
