Exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join a Global Media business based in London. The role will focus on preparing the financial accounting of the Parent company and support the Group Finance Team on month and quarter-end reporting.
Exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join a Global Media business based in London. The role will focus on preparing the financial accounting of the Parent company and support the Group Finance Team on month and quarter-end reporting.
Key responsibilities of the Group Financial Accountant will include:
- Managing full general ledger of Parent company
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and reconciling Group intercompany recharges
- Preparing cost accruals and prepayments
- Assisting with month-end group consolidation
- Assisting with review and analysis of month-end submissions
- Assisting with quarter-end reporting
- Supporting AR and AP functions to ensure correct coding
- Working with commercial accountants to ensure costs are recognised correctly
- Preparing weekly cash flow for treasury
- Ad hoc reporting as required
The candidate:
- Qualified Accountant ideally trained in practice
- Excellent academic record
- Strong technical accounting skills with consolidations experience
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Advanced IT skills
