An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join a dynamic team within a leading organisation. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to ensuring accuracy in all aspects of their work.

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's payments. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing and processing invoices, setting up suppliers in the accounting system, making payments according to credit terms, and completing monthly reconciliations. You will also be expected to use your initiative to query unusual transactions. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work effectively with various software applications.

  • Ensure all receiving records, invoices and other documentation are received daily, reviewed, and processed in Accounts Payable.
  • Set up suppliers in the accounting system once approved and keep them up to date.
  • Make payments in accordance with agreed credit terms.
  • Complete reconciliations between supplier statements and the Company records monthly.
  • Follow up on reconciling items and clear them on a timely basis.
  • Use initiative to query and follow through on unusual transactions.

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Assistant role will bring proven experience in financial management within an Accounts Payable environment. You should have the ability to work effectively with various software applications and be process-driven with excellent attention to detail. A high level of accuracy is essential for this role, along with strong communication skills. Additionally, you should have the ability to query and follow through on unusual transactions.
