Are you a recent Accounting / Finance / Mathematics graduate (or equivalent)? Looking for a role that will offer exposure to all aspects of accounting from accounts payable, accounts receivable along with month-end reporting? Joining a fast-growing start-up media agency? The Graduate Finance Assistant role is full time, permanent and based near to Camden Town, London.
Working closely with the founder and wider team, the exciting position of Graduate Finance Assistant will play an integral part of the accounting team and will be involved in processing accounting data, month-end analysis, processing payments along with all aspects of the financial close process.
Further responsibilities include:
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Payment runs and processing expenses
- Raising purchase orders
- Monitoring the finance inbox
- Chasing outstanding payments from customers
- Reviewing financial data and preparing monthly management reports
Successful applicants will have a degree in a numerical field (Accounting, Finance, Mathematics) or AAT equivalent. You will ideally have at least 3+ months experience working within an accounting environment and be familiar with accruals, prepayments along with month-end reconciliations. Experience with XERO (desirable) along with strong MS Excel skills. Alongside a desire to become a chartered accountant, ideally you will be ambitious, proactive and willing to wear many hats!
