Finance Analyst / Management Accountant

We are currently seeking a Finance Analyst / Management Accountant to join the dynamic team at a leading fashion retailer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the brand accounting process and support cost centre management for specific departments. Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end actuals process for the "Brand" lines, ensuring accurate financial statements and providing insightful commentary on variances to Budget and Last Year.
- Collaborate with Budget Holders to manage costs, reviewing spend regularly and challenging where necessary to keep "Brand Line" costs within Budget.
- Support Budget Holders by providing ad hoc analysis to help them understand their spend and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Assist in managing the head office payroll budget, accurately tracking spend and headcount.
- Collaborate with the Shared Finance team for month-end timelines and presentations.
- Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the "Brand" lines, and provide reporting on actuals vs. Budget and Last Year.
Requirements:
- Qualified finance professional with relevant accounts experience, ideally with a focus on cost management support.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to deliver tough messages while maintaining rapport.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to individuals without a finance background.
- Proactive and resourceful, with a curious nature and the ability to quickly learn new processes and systems.
- Strong team player, willing to support other members of the Finance team during busy periods.
- Ability to think holistically and strategically about budget management and support new initiatives.
