Management Accountant

Management Accountant Salary: £45,000k - £50,000k Location: Salford

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a close-knit team within a growing retail business based in Salford. You will be working very closely with the Financial Controller, being a key finance contact dealing with a variety of queries. They are flexible with hours of work and can accommodate start times ranging from 7am-10am! This is a 37.5 hour working week with an early finish on a Friday!

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of and produce comprehensive management accounts along with the associated reporting pack.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of variances against the budget and forecasts.
  • Reconcile stock and stock adjustments.
  • Produce and oversee the monthly accruals and prepayments.
  • Manage the fixed assets register and associated depreciation journals.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation.
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts.
  • Rolling P&L forecasting including integrated working capital model
  • Assisting with the annual Budget cycle and quarterly reforecast
  • Rolling Cashflow forecasting

What you'll need to succeed as a Management Accountant

  • Part qualified with 1 or 2 exams remaining.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven individual with excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of FP&A
  • Able to work independently.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Positive attitude towards work.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven skills in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and to be able to manipulate large set of data.
  • Great team player.
  • Have proven experience of working to tight deadlines.
