Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to provide key analytical support, focusing on costs, and to play a pivotal part in business partnering across various functions. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving business performance, improving cost base, and supporting cost-saving initiatives.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Analyst within our client's team, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive analytical support focused on costs. You will work closely with the Senior Manager, offering insights into key cost change drivers and supporting efforts to close gaps where deviation occurs. Your role will extend beyond mere number crunching; you will be expected to build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders ensuring seamless communication and integrity of results. Your responsibilities will also include providing financial support in various areas such as budget setting, initiative development, monthly reporting and analysis among others. You will also be tasked with delivering detailed monthly cost analyses that can be leveraged to drive business performance and improve the cost base.

  • Provide effective analytical support to the Senior Manager, offering insight into key drivers for cost changes
  • Ensure seamless communication and integrity of results through strong business partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Cover financial support areas including budget setting, initiative development and tracking delivery, monthly reporting and analysis, re-forecasting, business case evaluation and decision support
  • Provide detailed monthly analysis into costs to drive business performance and improve the cost base
  • Take responsibility for accurate weekly forecasting into consolidated PBT model and cash forecasting model
  • Work closely with procurement and operations teams to highlight lean initiatives and potential opportunities


What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Analyst role is a qualified accountant with experience in large, complex and preferably fast-moving entities. You will bring excellent analytical skills to the table, with an ability to understand variance analysis and key drivers. Your role will require you to deliver detailed insights that support procurement and ground operations teams. You should be able to communicate effectively and challenge stakeholders at all levels within the organisation. A proactive team player, you are capable of working on your own initiative and demonstrate high levels of motivation and enthusiasm. Proficiency in Excel (up to basic macros) and TM1 is preferred.

  • Qualified accountant with experience in large, complex entities preferably fast-moving ones
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong grasp of variance analysis and key drivers
  • Ability to deliver detailed insights required to support procurement and ground operations teams
  • Effective communication skills with ability to challenge stakeholders at all seniority levels within the organisation
  • Demonstrable commercial value of finance projects
  • Ability to explain finance concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive team player who can work on own initiative
  • Highly motivated self-starter with enthusiasm
  • Excellent Excel skills (up to basic macros) and TM1 experience preferred
