Robert Walters are exclusively recruiting an exciting new Financial Controller position with a high growth SME business based near Hatfield. The Financial Controller will produce accurate and relevant MI, produce monthly management accounts incorporating detailed P&L’s for each Business Unit, maintain the books of account and meet deadlines for the filing of VAT, PAYE returns etc. as well as working on additional ad-hoc projects associated with the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for:

• Production of monthly management accounts within 6 working days of the month end

• Production and enhancement of weekly MI dashboard

• Management of cash collections and payments, production of cash-flow forecasts

• Assistance with the preparation and completion of year end accounts together with annual audit

• Accurate and timely posting of books of account onto accounting software

• Regular reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts and bank accounts

• Overseeing, processing and updating of stock takes and stock movements onto stock accounts.

• Posting of monthly journals for depreciation, stock, accruals, prepayments, payroll, VAT etc.

• Preparation of inter-company account reconciliations

• Preparation and filing of VAT returns and payments to HMRC

Profile:

We are ideally looking for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant, trained in practice accountancy firm or industry looking for an all-round Financial Controller role.

On Offer:

Circa £60,000 - £70,000 plus bonus and benefits in a fats paced exciting company.

The role is based in the corporate offices working with the senior management team and managing two staff.
