Due to the nature of the business, the role will require the post holder to be in the office 5 days a week and is offering a competitive day rate for the current market. The Interim Financial Controller will support the finance team to ensure the delivery of business objectives through the provision and interpretation of key management information, including the production of monthly accounts. You will also provide quality information and use this to pro-actively challenge and influence local teams. As an Interim Financial Controller, you will report the weekly and monthly information and you will also produce financial KPI’s and information on business performance.
Key responsibilities of the Interim Financial Controller:
• Timely and accurate production of weekly KPI’s and monthly, quarterly and annual accounts
• Production of monthly & quarterly forecasting and the annual budgeting process
• Conduct regular business reviews with Operations to ensure adherence to budgets / forecasts and business KPI’s. Preparation of variance analyses to budget and forecast
• Preparation of business analysis to track trend performance of key metrics to identify root cause of performance issues and impact of countermeasures
• Improving value of management information
• Business modelling for major projects and business initiatives
• Ensuring inventory is correctly stated and audited on a regular basis
• Ensuring financial policies are being adhered to as set out in the Company financial guidelines
• Production of weekly KPI information to management and stakeholders and support the business to improve profitability and cash flow
• Comply with and support the EHS polices, processes and programmes
• Ensure EHS training is adhered to
• Support the Quality processes and programmes to drive the business performance
• Any other duties that may be reasonably required by the business
Experience required from the Interim Financial Controller:
• Must have 7+years of financial experience with a recognised qualification eg. CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc
• Manufacturing accounting experience
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
• Interpretation of standard costings and variances
• Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
• Has a proven track record in delivering results in both favourable and unfavourable conditions
