A newly acquired retail / e-commerce business in Manchester is looking to hire a commercially focused Financial Controller to support the founders and new investors.
This role will report directly into the Group CFO and will manage all the financial reporting and statutory accounting processes for this forward-thinking business along with managing and developing a small team.
This retailer can offer lots of opportunities to own the development of systems and processes and an opportunity to work for a leader in its field.
This opportunity would suit someone who has previous experience working in a retail business, has owned FP&A and commercial analysis processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Own the monthly, quarterly and annual accounting processes as well as providing commercial analysis and commentary, including reporting to Group.
- Review, develop and refine all finance systems and processes
- Manage and develop a team
- Act as the lead contact for annual audit and all audit processes
- Own all VAT and Corporation tax processes
- Own all cash-flow forecasting and management
Candidates should be / have:
- Previous experience in Retail is a must
- Qualified Accountant
- Experience in leading commercial analysis, FP&A procedures and business partnering for a retail business
- An interest in in developing financial systems and processes
