Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal position within the London based team to head up a key area of finance for the global business. You will support top level decision making and directly manage 1 direct report. The business is continually investing and developing within the media, technology and digital space more widely - it is therefore an incredibly exciting time to join.
Within his key head of role, you will be asked to take on the following responsibilities
Monitor and assessment of financial controls across the International business ensuring financial risk is minimized and financial controls are aligned globally.
Production of annual statutory accounts and tax pack for review with external auditors.
Act as a key point of contact for technical accounting and tax issues including liaison with US office and subsidiaries.
Assist with the registration of overseas offices as necessary and adherence to SAGE’s Transfer Pricing policies.
Support the CFO and senior management across the business with wider ad hoc operational as well as financial projects across the business
Direct management of 1 qualified level report
Applicants must possess the following
A formal accountancy qualification, most likely ACA, CA, ACCA or overseas equivalent
A number of years relevant technical accounting experience, ideally gained within a consumer led, tehnology or digital media business but not essential
