This is an extremely broad role so the client is looking for an individual with similarly broad experience covering Financial Reporting, Consolidation, FP&A, Tax, VAT and Payroll. In addition to the core monthly, quarterly and yearly milestones, this individual will also be exposed to a wide range of ad hoc commercial projects such as M&A, commercial analysis, investment appraisal and financial modeling.
Key accountabilities of the role include managing a sizeable finance team – therefore excellent people management skills are essential, as is the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in overseeing the preparation and control of the company’s financial reporting processes, together with managing the annual planning process with members of the senior management team to ensure appropriate resources are in place to meet agreed objectives. You will be expected to drive change in a number of key areas and will be in responsible for four substantial teams which will require on-going assessment to identify strengths and areas for development and training.
You will need to be technically savvy Chartered Accountant (ACA – Big 4 trained preferred) with an abundance of retail sector experience, with the personal characteristics to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders. You will have strong academics and a motivational leader with the potential to develop in the role.
