Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in South Birmingham is looking for a Group Accountant to join them in a time of unprecedented growth. The successful candidate will report into the Group Financial Controller whilst managing the financial data, improving the accounts processes, and ensuring compliance with group accounting policies.
Key responsibilities of the Group Accountant
- Ensure all new accounting standards are analysed for impact on the group and implemented across all group companies, providing appropriate training and support
- Support the Group Financial Controller in preparing the group financial statements and tax calculations
- Maintain statutory registers and tax authorities reporting requirements
- Support the audit process and production of published financial statements
- Ensure that the group transfer pricing policy is maintained and applied for intra-group transactions, especially cross-border transactions
- Develop and undertake internal audits of companies within the group to ensure compliance with group policies
Key essentials of the Group Accountant
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Technical bias with working knowledge of IFRS
- IT literate with systems experience and good excel skills
