Controls Accountant £45,000 - £50,000 + bonus Manchester

Robert Walters are excited to be exclusively representing a hugely successful brand who, due to continued success, are seeking a dynamic Controls Accountant to join their high calibre finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this pivotal role will see you leading the UK&I’s Sox compliance, maintaining a robust financial control environment whilst helping to facilitate continued success.

The Role:

• Take responsibility for leading the Sox compliance programme within finance, ensuring all controls are in place and drive activities to remediate any issues and deficiencies.
• Building close working relationships with the non-Finance functions to share information and add real insight and value to the business and commercial decision making.
• Ensure the control environment is robust and satisfies US GAAP requirements through liaison with management, external and internal audit throughout the SOx calendar.
• Act as advisor to the wider finance and non-finance areas on all aspects of controls compliance and provide expertise and support for new initiatives.
• Assist the Finance Manager Accounting in aspects of financial accounting, monthly and quarterly reporting and controls.
• Support the UK&I statutory reporting obligations including stat accounts production, audit, VAT and tax and also any accounting regulations changes.
• Ensure the delivery of production of high-quality management and financial information in a timely manner.
• Working closely with other key members of the Finance team, wider UK&I Finance and Group Finance functions.

You as the Successful Individual:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
• A strong Audit and Control background.
• SOx exposure is desirable (however not essential).
• High attention to detail, completeness and reconciliation of information.
• Dynamic and comfortable managing various tasks at once.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships across the wider business.
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
