Accountant

Robert Walters are currently working in partnership with a leading organisation based in Weybridge to assist in recruiting for an Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a newly created role within the organisation where, business partnering with the Payroll function, you will be responsible for reconciling and analysing the U.K business payroll.

Ensuring that the payroll balances in the balance sheet are measured accurately, are completed and reconciled, you will become an expert at understanding the drivers of variation in payroll costs.

Key responsibilities for this newly created Accountant role include:

- Reconciling payroll reports to general ledger and bank statements

- Understanding payroll adjustments and ensuring these are correctly reflected in the general ledger

- Reconciling the payroll bank account

- Monitor the payroll journal automation process ensuring payroll is reflected accurately in all business units

- Responsible for answering audit queries for both internal and external audits

- Understanding the payroll balance sheet accounts, ensuring balances are understood, accurate and complete

- Become an expert and a go to person for Payroll Accounting within this newly created role.

We would love to speak to people with the following experience for this Accountant role:

- Qualified or Part Qualified ACCA or CIMA candidates

- Candidates with upto date knowledge of IFRS

- Understanding of payroll compliance advantageous

- Team player with the ability to work autonomously and a drive to want to make this newly created position their own.

On offer for this role is a salary of £40,000 - £50,000 with a brilliant benefits package as expected from a leading international employer. Our client does offer a hybrid working policy with an expectation to be in the office circa 3 days week, however, they are also renowned for being a flexible organisation with a big emphasis on promoting a strong worklife balance.
