Senior Financial Accountant

Robert Walters are working with a globally renowned technology organisation who are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into their fast moving Controllership team. This Senior Financial Accountant will work closely with the Controllership Finance Director, to take ownership of external reporting, technical accounting, and setting accounting policies for the group. This is a business facing role, so will involve building strong relationships with the wider finance teams and external auditors.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for global accounting entries for specific areas, including lease accounting and long-term incentive schemes

• Involved in the management and review of global statutory financial statements prepared in-house or by third party providers

• Research into complex accounting matters, preparation of accounting memos, and assisting with the related accounting entries and disclosures for group and local statutory reporting

• Supporting general ledger and finance operations accounting teams in accounting queries and complying with GAAP

Experience and qualifications required:

• ACA , ACCA , CA (or equivalent) gained within a Top 10 accounting firm is essential

• Excellent IFRS knowledge is essential

• Experience working for or auditing publicly listed, multi-entity organisations is vital

• Prior experience of statutory financial statement review or preparation

• Previous project management experience would also be highly beneficial
