Senior Financial Accountant

Robert Walters are currently working with a globally renowned technology organisation based in Slough, who are looking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant into their growing Financial Reporting team.

This Senior Financial Accountant will work closely with the Director of Financial Reporting, to ensure effective monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting close for the group. This is a business facing role, so will involve building strong relationships with the wider controllership team and external auditors.

Key responsibilities:

• Take ownership of key elements of the monthly, quarterly and year end Group close/consolidation process.

• Review and analyse critical accounting areas.

• Partner with various team members in corporate and technical accounting (as well as other finance teams) to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.

• Prepare documentation for external auditors.

• Provide support to the wider finance function, focussing on accounting for any unusual or complex transactions.

• Support corporate project activity such as corporate restructuring, refinancing transactions, acquisitions and disposals.

• Prepare specific UK statutory accounts.

Experience and qualifications required:

• ACA , ACCA , CA (or equivalent) qualification. Experience with an audit firm would be beneficial but is not essential.

• Strong IFRS and US GAAP knowledge would be advantageous.

• Experience working within a large corporate organisation, who is comfortable business partnering with colleagues at all levels.

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

For this Senior Financial Accountant role, our client is looking at paying a salary of £56,000 - £63,000 + a company related bonus, hybrid working and a very competitive enhanced benefits package.
